Here at Layla Grayce, we love our site content manager, Chelsea! Originally from Los Angeles, she started out working for our main office in Pasadena. When she moved to Alabama, we loved her so much that we couldn’t let her go and she became part of our web team! Chelsea has a super glam, refined style that has us all wishing she could come over and decorate our homes. We especially love her Worlds Away Star Chandelier!

We’re pleased to introduce our inventor control supervisor, Portia Brown. We feel like her vintage, shabby chic style is the epitome of Layla Grayce and we can’t get enough of the gorgeous Mirabelle Chandelier she picked out. We’re quite jealous of her upcoming trip to the South of France, and can’t wait to hear all about it!

Get The Look: Revenge

If you watch Revenge, you know that the show’s interior design is practically one of the main characters! Villain Victoria Grayson’s tasteful Hamptons home is so beautiful that it’s easy to overlook her sinister ways—we think you’ll agree that one of television’s most evil characters does have very good taste, indeed.

Stealing the show from Victoria and Conrad in this scene (above) is gorgeous lighting from Oly Studio, including the Serena drum chandelier. Below, in the Grayson Manor conservatory, slipcovered dining chairs and candles casting a warm glow make for a cozy dining area.

In a guest bedroom, two demilune tables topped with aqua lamps flank a bed with a tufted headboard.

In the great room, Victoria sits perched on her throne, a wingback chair featuring a Parisian chic print. The room’s size and high ceilings demand large-scale furnishings, yet despite its size, the great room still feels comfortable thanks to it warm-toned color palette, fireplace with dark wood surround, and fluffy pillowback sofas.

The master bedroom is a study of contrasts, with light walls, dark side tables, a headboard with light fabric and dark wood trim, and light metallic-base lamps donning black shades. The result is sophisticated and elegant, neither too masculine nor too feminine.

Victoria even has her very own potting shed, which embraces sunny seaside style with a spindle desk, shingled walls and skylights. Below, the style in Victoria’s daughter Charlotte’s room is classic but slightly younger and more colorful. We love the color combination of slate blue walls with eggplant purple and mustard yellow accents. The new look of crystal chandeliers - Romantic traditional
Romantic traditional:

We love when designers take at traditional go-to staple item and infuse it with new life and a distinctly updated sensibility. Crystal chandeliers are the latest thing to get a modern makeover and we’re introducing a new collection that features glamorous new interpretations of classics. Strands of crystal beads spill down in waterfall effects, often interspersed with colored crystal accents that showcase a flair for geometry that is more 21st century than Grandma’s old heirloom chandelier. Draped swags of crystals or semi-precious stones read as alternately over the top glam or delightfully eclectic. We still have a soft spot for traditional looks (especially when decked out as fine as these lovelies are), but we’re sure even Grandma would approve of this makeover!

April “Foolish” Decor

Marie Coquine Chandelier,” by Philippe Starck for Baccarat Collection

Since it is April first, we thought we’d share some of the more “foolish” decorating ideas we’ve run across. Starting off with this gorgeous Baccarat chandelier complete with… umbrella? Granted, April is the time for showers, but this may be over preparing.

Stripes gone too far

Stripes and bold color are all the rage in fashion this season. Brightly colored striped rugs for home décor like this one? Maybe not so much. Although this one is quite durable since it’s made out of vinyl tape. Cozy!

French Bergere Chairs go green

We’re all for going green and we certainly love a good Bergere chair, but just looking at this makes us start to itch.

And while we adore Barbie, pardon us for thinking this is a little over the top. Wait, can we get a close up view of that chandelier? Could that actually be made of…?
