Pantone Color of the Year: Emerald

New year, new color! Emerald is the hot new hue, according to the color experts at Pantone. Not that we’re surprised. We had a sneaking suspicion it would be big – we’ve been coveting it for months now on everything from rugs to pillows to lighting! Inspired by nature (the rolling hills of Ireland, we surmise?), it’s a welcome change from last year’s livelier color of the year, Tangerine Tango. We love that Emerald Green is lively but, because of its correlation with serenity in nature, also imparts a sense of balance and harmony. And any color that can do that is a hands-down winner in our book.

Just in the nick of time (when winter has gone on far too long), Spring arrives to lift our spirits. Add a dash, an accent, a splash of green to your interiors to instantly brighten your day, your room. For the daring, dive in with bold green walls or wallpaper for a major wow factor. If that’s too much commitment for you, dip your toes in by adding glorious green throw pillows or an area rug that can be rotated around when the seasons change. Trust us, you’ll feel much better with a daily dose of greens!

That “affectionate pinch” for those NOT wearing green on Saint Patrick’s Day? We’d rather not be a part of that group, thank you very much! Instead we’ve come up with a few stylish ways to work green into your attire this Thursday. From head to toe and everything in between, we’re sharing some of our favorite green accessories and attire. Keep an eye out for lucky leprechauns too (since having a little gold to accent your green would be a lovely thing!)
