Project Nursery’s Skip*Hop Nursery Design Event (Plus A Giveaway!)

This giveaway is now closed.

Project Nursery Skip Hop Design Contest @LaylaGrayce
Vote Here!

Layla Grayce needs your vote! As part of Project Nursery’s Skip*Hop Nursery Design event, we joined actress Tiffani Thiessen, Joy Cho of Oh Joy! and Joni Lay of Lay Baby Lay in an exciting baby room design contest! Inspired by Skip*Hop’s Springtime Birdie Crib Bedding, our design began with classic, neutral furnishings from Babyletto to create a strong foundation that will truly stand the test of time. From there, we introduced bright, modern accents: graphic artwork, a border frame rug and the Skip*Hop crib set, which provided a spirited, colorful pattern to keep the nursery playfully up-to-date.

We invite you to view our nursery by clicking here and, if you like what you see, please vote for Layla Grayce’s nursery as well by selecting a star rating (with 5 stars being your favorite). Vote very carefully because you can only vote once per project. Don’t forget to enter to be eligible for all the amazing prizes you can win daily!

We extend a huge thanks to Project Nursery, Skip*Hop and the other talented designers. And, from all of us at Layla Grayce, we thank our customers for your unending support. We hope our nursery inspires you to have some fun and create a sanctuary that both you and your little one will find comforting, inviting and full of youthful charm.

As a thank you, we’re giving away a Skip*Hop Springtime Birds Musical Crib Mobile (like the one used in our nursery room design!) PLUS a $100 Layla Grayce gift certificate, to 3 lucky winners! That’s right, three of you will receive 1 mobile plus $100 towards your favorite Layla Grayce finds.

Molly Sims’ Nursery Design

Molly Sims Nursery Designed by Layla Grayce
Vintage Sputnik Pendant, DwellStudio Giraffe Push Toy, Animal Art by Sharon Montrose, Pillows covered in John Robshaw Fabric

Layla Grayce co-owners Tiffany Harris and Wendy Estes had the pleasure of co-designing Molly Sims’ nursery alongside Molly’s longtime friend and designer, Kishani Perera. Molly’s own aesthetic of modern bohemian inspired the look: fresh and modern with a vintage twist. And since Molly isn’t afraid of color, mixing and matching patterns, or breaking the so-called “design rules,” it was guaranteed to be fun right from the get-go.

The New Traditionalists Changing Table, John Robshaw Custom Fabrics in Petra Cobalt and Kota Oyster

John Robshaw block printed fabrics provided a basis for the design, bringing in a palette of blues, pinks and oranges that give the room color and personality, while a soft sky blue on the walls gives the room a light and bright feel. For added functionality, an entire wall of storage and a day bed were installed to make up for the nursery’s lack of closet space.

Molly instantly fell in love with the DucDuc modern furnishing line, and many of the room’s pieces, including the crib’s tie-die finish, feature custom finishes. Kishani found the vintage sputnik pendant, vintage pillows and added the sweet animal art. For all of us, working with Molly was a joyful process from start to finish and Layla Grayce is so excited to have been a part of designing such an amazing nursery for baby Brooks Stuber.
