Taking cues from a floral print featuring shades of coral, pink and green, an eclectic collection of mismatched china in a variety of shapes seem to blend together seamlessly.

One thing that particularly stands out in this space is the masterful mix of patterns. Bright patterned wallpaper in the bedroom doesn’t mean you should stray from pattern elsewhere. Instead, go bold with bright linens, the only rule being to choose patterns in various shades of the same color to prevent a too-busy effect.

Once again, florals steal the show, adding a flirty, feminine vibe to this outdoor space, while the more rustic wood floors, bench and shelving keep things from feeling too “precious” or unlivable. When decorating for the holidays, I’m constantly on the lookout for pieces that will be festive but transitional enough for me to use when the Christmas tree has come down.
